Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete the data associated with your TalkLens account, including accounts created by signing in with a third-party provider such as Google or Apple.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to remove your data is to delete your account from within TalkLens:
- Sign in to TalkLens (on the web at https://talklens.io or in the mobile app) using the same provider you signed up with.
- Go to Account → Settings.
- Under Danger zone, choose Delete account and confirm.
Your account is then scheduled for deletion. For 30 days you can cancel by signing back in. After that grace period, your recordings, audio, notes, transcripts, chat history, and credit history are deleted from our active systems and cannot be recovered by you. Residual copies may persist temporarily in our infrastructure provider's point-in-time backups (up to about 30 days) before expiring.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in — for example, you lost access to the email address or third-party account you signed up with — email us at privacy@talklens.io from the email address associated with your account, or include the name and email you used to sign in. We will verify your request and delete your personal data, confirming once it is complete.
What is deleted, and what we may keep
Deletion removes the personal data tied to your account: your profile information, recordings and saved audio, transcripts, translations, AI notes, chat history, bookmarks, uploaded materials, and your credit ledger.
Records of your purchases are retained by the payment platforms that processed them (Stripe for web purchases, Apple for In-App Purchase) under their own policies, and we may keep limited records where we are legally required to — for example, to meet accounting and tax obligations. These contain no audio or transcript content.
